The Best Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate you'll have in your life.

There is something about Autumn and Winter that's magical. You wrap up warm, go for walks ending in a red nose and rosy cheeks. There's all those cold nights out for Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas Eve and New Years Walks with the family.

What could be better than coming indoors to a rich, sweet, cockle-warming hot chocolate? Nothing!

Christmas Collection

Obviously I’m also having the hot chocolate in one of my new Scandi Inspired Christmas mugs in the Etsy store.

Ingredients

  • 170g of Cocoa

  • 1 tin of Condensed Milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon of Salt

  • 200ml water

  • Squirty Cream (optional)

  • Marshmallows (optional)

  • Stick of cinnamon (optional)

Method

This recipe couldn't be more simple.

  1. Put all the ingredients into the Slow Cooker.

  2. Stir thoroughly and cover with lid.

  3. Turn on high until the chocolate is hot and then you can put it on a lower heat till you’re ready for it.

  4. Decant into cups and top with Squirty Cream and Marshmallows, maybe even some chocolate flakes!

If you would like a Turkish Delight one add two tablespoons of Rose Water.

For orange (my favourite!) orange essence to suit taste.

Or Jons favourite is the Malteser one - add three heaps of Horlicks into it.

So, get this ready. Gather your family and go for a lovely wintery walk, get some properly rosy cheeks, come back home and channel your ultimate Danish hygge with a lovely mug of this and for extra bonus points put on a Christmas film. I’ll be rounding down my favourite Winter films on Netflix soon!
